Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Current hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. The Current is a two bike platform-style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds each. It's going to be held on primarily with these frame hooks here on the center mast, as well as two straps down at the bottom. So in the event that you wanted to mix and match and use this with your carbon frame bikes, we'd recommend against it, because it does make that frame contact. Could potentially damage the frame while you're driving. more

Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Premium hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. The Curt Premium is a hanging style bike rack that's going to hold onto our bikes by the top tube as well as an anti-sway cradle on the other side. It's gonna be able to support up to 180 pounds total, but because it does make contact with the frame on the top, if you want to use this with your carbon frame bikes, we'd recommend it against it. It does have a nice taper towards the end to accommodate kid's bikes, if you're going to be taking those out to the trail. But if you have an alternative style bike, you might need to pick up a bike adapter bar to make it work. more

The Destination E is a two-bike platform style bike rack, capable of supporting up to 70 pounds. And it's going to hold onto our bike primarily with this frame clamp here, as well as three straps down at the bottom. So with its design, it's really made with e-bikes in mind. So, it's got a couple features that are gonna work really well with those specific bikes, but you can mix and match if you want to. more

So if you wanna mix and match and get like carbon frame bikes on here, or maybe you just have a really nice paint job you might wanna be wary of that, just because we do have frame contact here. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. This is gonna be a hanging style bike rack capable of supporting four bikes up to 35 pounds each. It's going to hold onto our bike primarily by the top tube here. It's just gonna sit in these cradles and there's gonna be one anti-sway cradle that's gonna hold onto the down tube of a bike to cut down on some of that swaying movement. With a hanging style bike rack it's almost impossible to get rid of that entirely so there's gonna be a little bit no matter what you do. more

The Piston Pro is a premium bike rack and it's got a lot of premium features that we'll get into. It's going to be able to support two bikes. It's a platform style rack and the bikes that you're going to put on here can weigh up to 67 pounds. So it's good for your e-bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, any kind of bike that you wanna put on here 'cause it's going to be held through this dual wheel mount design. more

Now, StageTwo is a platform style bike rack capable of holding up to two bikes. It's gonna hold them by the front tire up here, and that means zero frame contact, meaning we're good for carbon frame bikes, alternative frame bikes, and e-bikes, because it does have a 70 pound weight capacity per bike. So it's also gonna be good for some of those heavier e-bikes, because it does go bit above and beyond some of the other e-bike racks that we carry. The RidgeBack is a hanging style bike rack that holds the bike up here by the frame and down in these cradles using the ZipStrips. We've got two up top and one around the seat post here to limit our side to side movement, helping with bike to bike contact. This doesn't completely eliminate that side to side movement but it does help it quite a bit. more

The Hitching Post Pro is a hanging style bike rack holding the bike by the frame up here secured with two straps over the top keeping it down in these cradles, and the third strap are on the seat post limiting our side to side movement to help limit bike to bike contact. It's not perfect. There's still some movement, but it definitely helps. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail on our 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. The MonoRail is a platform style bike rack, holding up to two bikes and holding them by your wheel primarily, the front tire here really. Now, that's gonna mean zero frame contact, making it good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and does have a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, making it good for some e-bikes too. Like many other platform racks in this class, we have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. Doing that's pretty simple, we've got a color coded blue handle at the back that we can pull and tilt down, and we do have a pretty impressive tilt on this bike rack, giving us tons of room to open up the back of our vehicle, get something out of the back if we need it, or just have a nice place to sit and change our shoes before or after a ride. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 2-Bike Rack on our 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport. The Destination is a 2-bike platform style rack that holds a bike by the frame here. It uses a cradle with a strap around the frame to hold it in place, so it is going to be good for alternative frame bikes, because that cradle does rotate 360 degrees, and it's height adjustable. Now, because it makes frame contact, we still want to avoid carbon frame bikes, because we do risk damaging the frame by making frame contact, and it has a 35 pound weight capacity per bike, so just stay within those limits and you should be just fine. This doesn't have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded, so if you want hatch access to the vehicle, whether it be to get something out of the back or just sit there while we change our shoes before or after our ride, we will have to have the bikes unloaded first with the center mast folded down. more

The Destination E-Bike Rack is a bike rack designed for e-bikes. You've got a 70 pound capacity per bike, so good for even some of those heavier e-bikes, and then it's gonna hold the bike by the frame. Because it holds the bike by the frame, we do want to avoid carbon frame bikes, because this can damage the frame, having that clamp around there and putting pressure on it, but because that clamp rotates and turns 60 degrees and can adapt to the shape of your frame, alternative frame bikes should be just fine. Other than that, we do have the ability to tilt this rack away with the bikes loaded, because it is a platform style rack, and a more premium platform style rack at that. more
